Personalize your weight journey: 7 ways the new Found app makes it easier

Found’s designed a new experience that allows you to customize your weight care journey. 
With guidance from psychologists and behavioral scientists, we’ve recreated our weight treatment program so that it’s highly personalized. Now members can customize it like a choose-your-own-adventure storybook. Instead of a program that’s already planned out, members can choose which lifestyle changes they want to work on, get community support, and go at their own pace. Scientists have found that letting people create their own plans is the key to success. “At the root of behavior change is motivation. Motivation is largely driven by a sense of competence, relatedness, and autonomy,” says Laura Garcia, PhD, Found’s director of clinical design. Using this new weight care toolkit is simple: Start by choosing the lifestyle changes—focuses—that are important to you. 
As a member, when you log your daily activities (routines) into the app, you build a log that will give you personalized insights you can use to improve your health and weight care. Members who tested the new version of the Found app had a better experience. On average, testers used the app 27 percent more and logged 97 percent more routines—taking more steps toward weight loss and lasting lifestyle change. Here are 7 ways the Found app experience puts you in charge of your weight care journey so you can succeed.

Choose the lifestyle habits you want to work on.
No two paths are the same—so Found lets you create your own. Do you wish you ate more vegetables? Or that you were able to get better sleep? You can design your own weight loss program by choosing the lifestyle changes—focuses—that are important to you. Select “focuses and trends” from the home screen to find a focus.  The “see all” button takes you to a list of Found focuses to choose from.

Create your own weekly goals.
So what do you want to work on this week? We’ve added a new weekly check-in feature where you can track your confidence, health, and energy. You’ll also be able to write your weekly goals and work towards them.
Your goal can be tied to a focus you’re working on—or something else that’s important to you. When you’re feeling ambitious, shoot for the moon. Got a busy week ahead? Set a goal that only requires tiny steps. It’s entirely up to you.

Learn about your health through all-new tips and premium articles.
You’ve chosen a focus for a lifestyle change. Now how do you get to the finish line? As you log routines (daily activities), you unlock tips—information, ideas, and strategies for success, researched and recommended by Found’s behavioral scientists. Other tips link you to additional resources and articles. Together, they help make lifestyle change achievable.

Track your weight and your NSVs with new weekly check-ins.
Do more than just log your weight. We’ve added more integrative tools so you can better track progress and goals that go beyond the scale. Non-scale victories—such as being able to move better, lower blood pressure, or fit into smaller clothes—are often more important than your weight. Track them so you can look back—personalized dashboards show you how much you’ve achieved.

Movement and sleep populate automatically from Apple Health and Google Fit.
Integrate your Apple Health or Google Fit with the app to import your daily sleep and steps.

Celebrate your wins.
Post your achievements in the Found community. Scroll through to be inspired by others, and give them your support. With more emojis, members can have fun encouraging and celebrating one another.
Take some time to log your meals, movement, and other dailies in the app to track your progress. It gives you time to reflect, and science shows it supports your success.
